About Me

Hi! I'm Joshua, a programmer with experience in games development who loves creating mechanics and systems that make games fun and engaging. My favourite work is in gameplay programming, where I can develop unique and interesting gameplay mechanics.

I am currently a level 4 (first year) student at the University of Staffordshire, where I study Games Development.

In my time away from University, I work on personal projects. Most of which fall under my indie studio on Roblox, pixl games, which I run with my brother, and where I am responsible for programming and UI design/implementations. I also enjoy playing video games, watching tv shows and movies, and eating snacks.

University of Staffordshire

I am currently a level 4 student at the University of Staffordshire studying Games Development. I have had the opportunity so far to learn C++ for developing a console based game, and 3DS Max alongside Substance Painter and Photoshop to create game ready assets. I am currently being taught the Unity Engine with C# and am revisiting Unreal Engine 5, making use of the blueprints to prototype mechanics.

Loughborough College

I had the opportunity of taking a level 3 BTEC course in Games Development at college, where I learned how to develop games in Unreal Engine 5 using the visual blueprints system. I also learned how to use other software such as Blender, Substance Painter, and Photoshop for use in areas like 3D modelling, texturing, and concept art.

I was awarded Student of the Year for my work in the first year of the course, and graduated with a final grade of DDD.
